    but the godly are well rooted and bear their own fruit. — Proverbs 12:12

The Seed That Fell Among the Thorns

The seed that fell among the thorns represents others who hear God’s word, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the worries of this life, the lure of wealth, and the desire for other things, so no fruit is produced. — Mark 4:18-19

— Mateo 13:23

Like A Tree Planted by the Water

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence is in him.
They will be like a tree planted by the water
that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit.” — Jeremmiah 17:7-8

que extiende sus raíces hacia la corriente;
no teme que llegue el calor,
y sus hojas están siempre verdes.
En época de sequía no se angustia,
y nunca deja de dar fruto.» — Jeremias 17:7-8
