Jesus also taught: “Beware of these teachers of religious law! For they like to parade around in flowing robes and receive respectful greetings as they walk in the marketplaces. And how they love the seats of honor in the synagogues and the head table at banquets. Yet they shamelessly cheat widows out of their property and then pretend to be pious by making long prayers in public. Because of this, they will be more severely punished.” — Mark 12:38-40
예수께서 가르치실 때에 가라사대 긴 옷을 입고 다니는 것과 시장에서 문안 받는 것과 회당의 상좌와 잔치의 상석을 원하는 서기관들을 삼가라 저희는 과부의 가산을 삼키며 외식으로 길게 기도하는 자니 그 받는 판결이 더욱 중하리라 하시니라 — 마가복음 12:38-40
Como parte de su enseñanza Jesús decía:
—Tengan cuidado de los maestros de la ley. Les gusta pasearse con ropas ostentosas y que los saluden en las plazas, ocupar los primeros asientos en las sinagogas y los lugares de honor en los banquetes. Se apoderan de los bienes de las viudas y a la vez hacen largas plegarias para impresionar a los demás. Estos recibirán peor castigo. — Marcos 12:38-40
